Job description:

BC Security Solutions has a vacancy for a Business Development Manager, based at our operations in Cape Town, South Africa.

The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and is able to exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of the achievement of the goals of the organisation, and understanding the role which the Business Development Manager plays within a successful business unit. The incumbent will be expected to be results driven and to live the values of the organisation.

Role Responsibility:

Effective management of sales and marketing in the region in compliance with BC Security Solutions business strategy.

Development of sales strategy specific to the region, through analysis of the region's business profile, products and services available / required, existing customer base, resources and competitors.
Identification of potential new business opportunities through consultation and cooperation with operational management, planned prospecting, leads, cold calling, tender notices.
Arrange and conduct meetings with new and existing business prospects, in conjunction with operational management where appropriate, to market BC Security Solutions.
Conduct / arrange site surveys to identify risks and develop appropriate solution to meet customer needs.
Prepare and submit sales proposals / tenders to prospective customers. Where necessary, prepare and conduct sales presentation.

Effective performance of Sales and Marketing administrative functions

Finalise contract documentation (Service Agreement, Letter of Intent) as per standard terms and conditions.
Preparation and submission of Contract Schedule to appropriate departments for processing.
Ensure that a customer file is maintained, containing a signed copy of the contract, contract schedule, as well as any other relevant documentation.
Ensure that Head Office is provided with copies of all signed contracts.
Ensure that the contract status report is updated on a monthly basis.
Where required by the Regional Operations, coordinate Public Relations activities, Company sponsored events, and the control and distribution of corporate gifts.

Effective reporting on regional Sales and Marketing activities

Preparation and submission of monthly report to MD and Operations Manager.
Advise regional operational management of sales activities, competitors and customer needs

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualification

Grade 12
Relevant tertiary qualification (preferred Sales & Marketing)
Sales Force (CRM) Advantageous
Valid drivers license

Experience

Relevant experience within the corporate sales environment ideally within the Security Industry
Minimum 5 years' experience in a professional sales environment with a proven track record of closing deals and achieving targets.
Experienced in dealing with senior executives and C-Suite
Marketing of products related to man-guarding solutions, CCTV etc

Cleaning Manager: BC Cleaning Solutions

RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that subordinates are able to perform their duties to an acceptable standard and where necessary provide on the job training
  • To ensure that the cleaners are rostered according to department/area needs
  • Undertake hygiene checks (minimum of three times) per day
  • Raise Job Cards and complete maintenance request form, for any chiller / freezer / equipment that is not functioning properly, or posing safety hazards to any staff worker or to the foods
  • To ensure cleaning is at an acceptable standard for both inside and outside the Unit.
  • Any non-conformances regarding cleaning must be immediately actioned reported to the Unit Manager.
  • To be 100% accountable for any hygiene concerns in any area of the facility, and in event of non-conformances, they are immediately closed by coordinating with the Unit Manager
  • To conduct Toolbox Talk to concerned staff regarding hygiene standards and submit tool-box reports.
  • Conduct weekly inventory of all chemicals, disposables and update above on weekly usage.
  • Order the required chemicals timeously, giving the procurement Department sufficient time to place the order and to allow for delivery
  • Prepare and implement cleaning/hygiene checklist’s for all areas/departments.
  • Complete records daily, for the storage temperature and hygiene inspection checklist for all areas
  • Check that all Dishwasher machines are cleaned at the end of each shift
  • Preparation of rosters and to always ensure that the accurate number of staff are allocated to be on duty daily
  • Ensure effective management of the night shift cleaning team, further ensuring that any of the non-conformance from their side is reported accordingly and actioned immediately.
  • To observe all safety rules and procedures.
  • To ensure all HSE rules & procedures are followed and hazards/near miss and accidents are properly reported.
  • To raise any work-safety hazard when participating in HSE meetings or Risk Assessment.
  • Any other reasonable task that may be required by management Qualifications & Other

Requirements

  • Grade 12.
  • Diploma or similar in Business Management or Similar.
  • Short Course in Leadership Development will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of HACCP will be an advantage.
  • 3 Years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Staff Management.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Planning and Organizing.
  • Previous experience managing a team of housekeeping employees.
  • Must be able to work weekends and public holidays as per a roster system

Cleaner: BC Cleaning Solutions

Cleaner Responsibilities:

  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors of various types.
  •  Dusting ceilings, light fittings, countertops, and loose furniture.
  • Scrubbing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, and kitchen fixtures.
  • Emptying trash cans.
  • Washing and drying windows.
  • Liaising with the line manager to ensure that you have sufficient cleaning products at all times. Reporting any breakages that occur during the cleaning process.
  • Informing the line manager of repairs that need to be done.

Cleaner Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Able to use a variety of cleaning products and equipment.
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time.
  •  Excellent organizational skills

Cleaning Manager: BC Cleaning Solutions

Duties & Responsibilities

Operations and Service Delivery:

  • Ensure work schedules/job cards are in place for each position and relevant to site.
  • Ensure consistently high service standards are maintained for all services in scope with regular inspections.
  • Ensure that staff are correctly and smartly dressed displaying a name badge.
  • Highlight to sites the importance of upholding the company image at all times.
  • Ensure that cleaning methodology are strictly adhered to in line with company policies, quality programmes and legislation.
  • Managing company assets by performing monthly spot checks on high value items.
  • When checking assets ensure that equipment is kept in a good condition and repaired and serviced when required.
  • Do daily checks and follow-ups. • Report maintenance and safety concerns to the manager on a day to day bases.
  • Maintain personal health, hygiene and professional appearance. Communication:
  • Responding to management request timeously and providing necessary action required.
  • Responsible to regularly keep line management informed of pertinent issues relating to the unit Health and Safety:
  • Ensure that all OHS Act (Occupational Health and Safety) requirements are adhered to for site specific requirements in line with company policies, quality programmes and legislation.

 

General:

  • To maintain a high standard of morale and motivation through good communication skills.
  • May be required to assist with any other duties that may be outside scope of responsibility. Skills and Competencies

Qualifications:

  • Matric/Grade 12 or relevant experience.
